A full day, about nine hours door to door. Your driver adjusts the order to the weather and the crowds, and you can drop or add stops.

Per vehicle, including the driver, fuel, parking and road tolls. Entry fees, such as Cape Point, and meals are extra. From 15 December to 10 January, prices are 15% higher.

Why book a private driver
A group tour runs to a timetable. A hire car means driving on the left, navigating and parking at every stop. With your own driver you see the same places on your schedule, and nobody in your group has to drive.

SAMA 2 in black and SAMA 3 in white. Both are Lexus ES 300h hybrids, owned by us and registered on SAMA plates, and quiet on the long drives to Cape Point and the Winelands.
Questions
Is the price per person?
No. It covers the vehicle and driver: up to 3 passengers in the sedan, 7 in the people carrier and 6 in the luxury van.
What does a full day include?
10 hours and 200 km with the same driver, from pickup at your hotel to drop-off. Fuel, parking and road tolls, such as Chapman’s Peak Drive, are included. Entry fees, such as Cape Point, and meals are extra.
Is this a guided tour?
No, you book a driver and a car. Our drivers know the roads, the stops and the best order for the day, and you decide where to go.
Can we change stops or stay out longer?
Yes. Tell your driver on the day. If the day runs past the hours or kilometres booked, the extra is charged at the rates in the price table.
Is it safe to get around Cape Town?
With a driver, the parts visitors worry about are taken care of: unfamiliar roads, parking, and getting back to your hotel at night. Our drivers know the city and hold professional driving permits, every car is GPS-tracked, and passengers are insured on every trip.
Do the drivers speak English?
Yes, all of them.
Should I tip the driver?
It is up to you and never expected. In South Africa, guests who tip usually give around 10% for a full day.
Are prices higher over Christmas and New Year?
Yes. From 15 December to 10 January, prices are 15% higher. These dates are marked in the booking calendar, and the price updates when you choose one.
How do I pay and cancel?
After we confirm, we send a Yoco card payment link in rand. Nothing is charged before that. Cancel on WhatsApp up to 24 hours before pickup for a full refund. Later than that, or if you do not show, we refund 50%.
